Moving swiftly to ensure the important role of team manager was quickly filled, Maesteg Harlequins RFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Richard ‘Dicky’ Teesdale to the position.
It would be an understatement of mammoth proportions to state Teesdale is no stranger to the club. A ball boy for a number of years, Richard came to the club once his days in youth rugby ended.
Playing across the front row, Teesdale amassed 271 matches for the Quins, over a fifteen years period. Yet, perhaps his most memorable performance was as second-row against Carmarthen, when he directly marked former Wales international and Swansea stalwart Paul Arnold.
During his playing days, Richard amassed four league titles and a Silver Ball.
