Sandville Self Help Centre, established February 1983, is open to all people suffering difficulties, we offer help in a very relaxed and happy atmosphere. Our Motto is 'Listening, Looking, Learning, Loving, Laughter will enable you to Live a Longer healthier Life'. Sandville offers you a people centered service with social and psychological care for patients and families. Overnight facilities are also available on request. We can provide transport from the Bridgend area to Velindre Hospital for patients who require Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy. Every week we offer a range of complimentary therapies and activities including, Reflexology, Self Hypnosis, Reiki, Hydrotherapy and Acupuncture. We also support continuing education with seminars and workshops and offer placements for Schools, Collages and Nursing. We are a completely independent, self-funded charity that relies year on year from donations from the public. There is no charge for any of our services but should you wish to donate please see a member of staff, call the centre, or use our Just Giving page. Set in beautiful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with beautiful views and a welcoming environment you will soon feel at home, everyone is welcome and there are no appointments, just turn up and we will go through everything with you. We have a small charity shop on site that stocks everything from clothes to cookware and houses our own hair salon. There is a bar in the main house and we are host to regular daytime entertainment to occupy you while you are waiting for therapies.
