BRITISH SELECTIONS: THREE QUINS PLAYERS IN BRITISH DEAF SQUAD

Maesteg Harlequins have always prided itself in inclusive sport and its endorsement of disability sport.

Waterton Wanderers were a regular fixture on the Quins list before they disbanded.

The club has also played an enormous part in the deleopment of Undeb Rygbi Bydda'r Cymru / Welsh Deaf Rugby Union. It was the Quins' input that transformed the Welsh Deaf team from three test losers to New Zealand, to beating the same opponents twice in their own back yard to lift the Rugby World Cup for the Deaf in 2002.

That squad included two coaches and three players.

In the sixteen years since, the Quins have provided more players and another coach, but this has been surpassed by the selection of back-rower Andrew Healy, second-row Scott Williams and three-quarter Kieran Watkins into the British Deaf sqaud.

Mighty Quins congratulations, the club are over the moon and immensely proud of your selections.
