News of the untimely passing of long-time supporter Glyn Hughes, hit the club membership like a seismic shock.
Glyn’s association with the Quins began long before his youngest son Lee played for the club. A generous man, much of his time was spent quietly, unassumingly helping others. He was above all else – thoughtful and many have benefitted from Glyn’s thoughtfulness.
Enjoying many a match supporting our club; although he would never admit it, his habitual game of Sunday morning whist brought him great pleasure too.
Glyn also undertook a great deal of maintenance work around the club; especially the beer garden, using his fine horticultural skills to great effect.
‘Entirely gutted’ cand 'empty' can describe how those who spent their time with Glyn feel at his passing. However, none of us can comprehend the unbending feeling of loss those most loved by Glyn, are experiencing at his utterly shocking and rapid demise.
To Christine, Scott, Lee and the grandchildren, Maesteg Harlequins feels devastated for you.
We will bid a fond farewell to Glyn on the date and at the times below.
