TUTT'S TWO-FIFTY

When the Quins entertain Cardiff Metropolitan, ever popular Lewis Tutt will take to the field for a 250th time in the coal black and blood red of the Maesteg Quins.

It's hard to believe it is now thirteen years in the latter part of 2004-2005 that Tutt first terrorised opponents for the Quins, making four appearances for the seconds when his days at Maesteg Youth were coming to an end.

Making his first team debut the following season, Tutt was elected Players Player of the Year by his peers the season after in 2006-2007..

It was in 2007-2008 the flanker made the first fifteen flanker spot his own, picking up the 2007-2008 Player of the Year award. A feat he repeated in 2014-2015

The Quins is an infinitely better club because of the formidable back-rower's presence. Many come and go, unprepared to learn, fight for a place and improve. Tutt stayed put. Went through some lean times, but came out on top. Being an integral part of four league title wins is testament to this. Sadly, injuries curtailed Lewis' appearances and also denied him the honour of running out onto the Millennium Stadium with the club and being a part of the Silver Ball final in 2011.

A sevens specialist, possessing a terrific 'engine' and a deceptive turn of pace, it is hoped the Quins are graced with Tutt's presence for many more seasons to come. It is the individual personalities such as Lewis' that give the Quins its unique atmosphere.

Ymlaen i'r 250 nesa.
