Maesteg Quins have a long history of providing referees to officiate MGDRU and WRU matches. Dai Daniels, Hector Lewis, Ceri Morgan, Jan Raznick, Nigel Williams and Tony Williams to name a few. Now we have Richard Brace. After joining the club in 1996-1997, in his eleven seasons at South Parade Brace made 244 appearances. He scored 390 points, his seasonal best being 124 in 1999-2000. In 2004-2005 he scored ten tries in a season. He was part of four league title winning sides, a Silver Ball, President’s Cup and Hancocks Trophy winner. It was his last-ditch tackle on the flying Vardre winge.....
